These ceramic hedgehog buttons where originally inspired by my hedgehog obsessed daughter to adorn a cardigan we had knitted.
frankly we all are obsessed with hedgehogs, here having helped rescue these amazing creatures for years, it has been quite normal for the children to have to feed milk to tiny pink squeaking hoglets of an evening.
After many requests I have now made some sets of three little stoneware hedgehog buttons for the shop.
Fired to a high stoneware temperature they are hard wearing and able to be washing in a wool wash in the machine with your woollens.
These look lovely as a set to jazz up a cardi or jacket but equally look fab on there own as a detail button or badge, I have a fondness of having a hedgehog on my woolly hats 🦔
All the buttons are handmade here in my workshop and are totally unique so no button is the same, so if you are looking for identical matching buttons these aren’t for you.
They are chunky buttons so look fab on chunky knits and are idea for little hands learning to do buttons up.
All profits from these buttons will go towards feeding the many hedgehogs we have visiting our feeders all year round here at church farm. Although I do not raise hoglets anymore as rescues, we still sometimes take in juvenile hoglets to fatten over winter months ready to release in the spring. So buying these buttons will help support our hedgehogs 🦔
